Fatima Bhutto

Fatima Bhutto (born 29 May 1982) is a young Pakistani poet who came to fame after the appearance of her first book, a collection of poems, titled Whispers of the Desert. She was only 15 years old when the collection was published. She is now a columnist for The News in Pakistan.

Fatima is the daughter of the late Murtaza Bhutto and his Afghan wife Fauzia. Mir Murtaza Bhutto was killed in a police target killing by the Pakistani police, which is famous for its notorious activities, in 1996 in Karachi, during the premiership of his sister, Benazir Bhutto. She is the grand-daughter of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Bhutto has done undergraduate from Columbia University New York, and also studied at the Karachi American School. She lives with her step-mother Ghinwa Bhutto and her brother Zulfiqar Bhutto.
