Fatehgarh is a city and a municipal board in Uttar Pradesh state of northern India, located on the right bank of the Ganges River. It is the administrative headquarters of Farrukhabad District. Fatehgarh derives its name from an old fort. It is a small city with no significant industial activity. The Indian army has a big establishment in the form of Rajput Regiment Center and Sikh light Infantry Center. There is a temple called Tiwari Vaishno Mandir. Fatehgarh is also one of the district's three tehsils.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Farrukhabad-cum-Fatehgarh had a population of 227,876. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Farrukhabad-cum-Fatehgarh has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 68%, and female literacy is 58%. In Farrukhabad-cum-Fatehgarh, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
