Fateh Jang

Fateh Jang (Fatehjang / Fatehjung / Fatehgarh / Fatehgunj / Fatehganj) is small town located nearly 25 miles (as the crow flies) southwest of Islamabad, Pakistan, on Rawalpindi-Kohat or Rawalpindi-Mianwali road. The new location of the Islamabad International Airport has been selected on Rawalpindi-Fateh Jang Road and the construction will start in 2006. Fateh Jang town is headquarters of a tehsil of oil-rich Attock District. It falls in the National Assembly constituency from where Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz was elected before taking oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan. It has a police station, a tehsil headquarters hospital and separate intermediate colleges for boys and girls. A cattle market is held at Fateh Jang on every Thursday. Four roads originate from Fateh Jang which link this town with Kohat, Attock, Rawalpindi/Islamabad and Khaur. There are also some oil fields in Tehsil fatehjang. There are a number of development works underway in the town. The road passing through the town towards Kohat has been widened and cleaned. The local population is very friendly and welcome the new purchasers of plots in the town. There are great opportunities for the upper middle class of Rawalpindi/Islamabad to buy plots for themselves here and secure their future.
Thatti Gujran is a tehsil fateh jang's modern village some 6 Km from town centre.It has a population of about 1500-2000 people.Several private vehicles serve the route betweeen town centre and the village.Thatti gujran has Two girls and one boys primary school.Its water supply system was sponsored by asian development bank.
