^[1] That would probably be feeding (connotation: feeding of resources), not feeding (connotation: feeding education), because the latter is, of course, exactly what you want to do. ^{[2] [3]}

^[4] overstatement and overgeneralization: Trolls do not exist. This is an extreme metaphor for several problems at once: insufficient education and/or greedy egoism. Properly phrased "Don't feed the trolls" could be "Know what economic resources you should use or re-route to what purposes and know what education should be given and can be given to whom". This way the false dilemma "troll or no troll" is resolved and the ambiguity of the metaphor "feeding/eating" is resolved. If you accept the metaphor "troll" without resolving the false dilemma you have eaten something that cannot be eaten. (see also: Comparatives)
