- Unfortunately it also can mean "You would need glasses".
- Large eyes can also mean "to be greedy".

- Sunglasses can give you the black and empty eyes of rodents (simple minded mammals).
- Sunglasses can also mean you are aware that too much sun can be dangerous.
- "Not being blinded by the light".
- Mirrored sun glasses can either refer to me-tall people or to taxi drivers, which creates an association between me-tall and taxi driving, as one might be the cause of the other. In a mirror you see your own actions repeated, so the mirror refers to precedents.
These metaphors are highly context sensitive.
