breakeven, the in-tuition to reach breakeven
- In nuclear fusion research, the term breakeven refers to a fusion energy gain factor equal to unity, meaning the reactor can be used as a power plant.
This can be phrased as
- "There is something where you want a breakeven but it's not fusion power ¹) and not economics ²)".
- A breakeven of altruism, environmentalism and applied ethics would be
- a sufficient occurrence of acts of altruism and applied ethics to be self-energising.
- Acts of greed and capitalism are a complement of this.
¹) The sun is a sufficient fusion reactor, if used intelligently.
²) Aiming to exceed economic breakeven (aiming to gather significant wealth) is considered harmful, see Harmful complements
