A Pfeilsystem {de} is homophone to filesystem and translates back to english as "a system of arrows". It most probably refers to a collection of hints for others to recognize.
It is, again, a rather vague concept and after the invention of printing the book should have superceded cave paintings as the preferred way to leave publicly available information to others.
Incidentally implementing filesystems was something I have been working on earlier. I translate the in-tuition of writing a filesystem in user space as "writing down some information for users", which seems to be sensible to do anyway.
lost+found is part of every Unix (you (nix {de} -> nothing) -> not being an egoist) Pfeilsystem.
- Prodigal son: It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
