"Fast Cars" is the bonus track on the Japanese and UK versions of U2's eleventh studio album, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. "Fast Cars" is the only known song from the album's recording sessions with lyrics that directly reference the album's title. The Jacknife Lee Mix is included on two singles - "All Because Of You" and "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own". Even though it wasn't released on the American version of the album, the Latin-rooted song was played live in a large amount of shows during the third leg of the Vertigo Tour. An early demo of this song, later released on iTunes exclusive "The Complete U2" digital box set, was called "Xanax and Wine".
