Fashion technology

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fashion technology is the study and intersection of the fashion and technology industries.

It is also the application of fashion and fashionability to technology products such as the Dolce & Gabbana Gold V3i cell phone; or the application of technology to fashion products such as the Adidas 1 running and basketball shoes.

The fashion industry measures against the technology industry as very low tech. The technology industry is fashion illiterate. However, both industries are driven by cultural trends, hyper-progression, hyper-consumerism, the shadow of obsolescence and have more to gain from increasing crossover partnerships.
