Just a note: This will eventually have to become a disambiguation page. As a quick Google search will show ([1]) there are numerous F&M banks (and similar names) around the US. This is not even the only F&M Bank in Los Angeles County, with F&M Bank that is headquartered in Long Beach showing up as the first choice in the Google search.

The LA F&M Bank Building doesn't even show up until the 31st link (an 1971 certificate of deposit for sale [2]—there is some good history on the bank on the webpage) (see also [3] from the same website). Through the Google search, I also found an interesting book from the University of California Press and the Huntington Library [4]: Robert Glass Cleland and Frank B. Putnam, "Isaias W. Hellman and the Farmers and Merchants Bank", ISBN 0-87328-018-0, 138 pages, 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches, 9 b/w illustrations.

This page should be moved to either Farmers and Merchants Bank Building, Farmers and Merchants Bank (Los Angeles), or Farmers and Merchants Bank of Los Angeles. BlankVerse 07:07, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
