Please DELETE this Article. Doesn't a serve a purpose. Might as well write an article about my friend John down the street. --Khawaja 2005-07-03 02:36:48 (UTC)

I DISAGREE: Rabbani is a recognized scholar of Islam, working with a recognized site (www.SunniPath.com) and published with a number of leading magazines (Q-News, Islamica), and with a number of published books.

  • Keep. I disagree with the above opinions. Sidi Faraz Rabbani is a notable modern-day researcher of Islamic law, translator of several reknowned Arabic texts to English, and has even been mentioned by the BBC and other noted organizations. If the BBC recognizes Rabbani as significant, I would like to believe that Wikipedia would too, in order for it become a comprehensive encyclopaedia catering to all tastes, beliefs and creeds. I will now edit the Wikipedia reference to Sidi Faraz Rabbani, in order for the addition to be in a more organized and encyclopaedic manner. Xaxerian 20:46 PM, 17 Dec 2004

I disagree. Rabbani is a known scholar of Sunni Islam and an integral part of Sunnipath.com. It's not comparable to "my friend John" analogy.

Sidi Faraz Rabbani is one of the most well-known scholars in the west. He has translated and written works on Islamic Law and spirituality. He also has one of the most well known Islamic Online schools in the world. A definite keep.

[edit] Minor Removal

I removed the word "interesting" from the line about running an "active -- (formerly 'and interesting') -- blog" ... it's not an encyclopedia's job to name what is and is not interesting, and I believe that simple removal does a lot to make this page less like a personal advertisement.
