[edit] Parody
It seems to me there was also a parody of this ode to Cornell hymn that went something like:
Far above Cayuga's waters
There's an awful smell.
Some folks think it's Cayuga's waters.
We all know it's Cornell.
The source for this is simple word of mouth. I knew some Cronell people in my youth. I leave it to others to add this to the article if they feel it's appropriate.

- I heard it as Far above Cayuga's waters / There's a funny smell. / Some people say it's Cayuga's waters / But we say it's Cornell's. I also heard that this was made by an Ithaca student. --tyger 17:14, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

- Here's a source citation for this, should anybody want one: Abbey, Edward (1988). One Life at a Time, Please. Owl Books. ISBN 0805006036. p. 87 I've heard it as "Far above Cayuga's waters/There's an awful smell/Some say it's Cayuga's waters/Some say it's Cornell." I suspect putting anything like this in the article would touch off an edit war, however. Dpbsmith (talk) 20:23, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
