Faryd Aly Camilo Mondragon (born June 21, 1971 in Cali, Colombia) is a Colombian football goalkeeper. Mondragon was born to Colombian and Lebanese parents. He currently plays for Turkish club Galatasaray of Istanbul, and the Colombian national team.
Mondragon has been playing for Galatasaray since the year 2001 and has had the joy of two Turkish Super League titles in 2002 and 2006. He is appreciated by the fans for his saves and his commitment to the success of the team. He is also famous for his prayers before and during the games.
Formerly he played for Deportivo Cali, Independiente Santa Fe (Colombia), Cerro Porteño (Paraguay), Argentinos Juniors, Independiente (Argentina), Real Zaragoza (Spain) and FC Metz (France). He was a member of the Colombian teams that competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics and the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
