Farvardin

Farvardin is the first month in the Iranian/Persian Calendar. It consists of 31 days and almost always starts on March 21st (the first day of spring) and ends on April 20th. Farvardin starts on March 20th and ends on April 19th in a leap year. In avestan language,as in Zoroastrian culture, Farvardin means "The Strength to proceed". The name is concerning the fact this is the first month of the year.
