Farrukh Gayibov

First lieutenant Farrukh-aga Mamed Kerim-aga oglu Gaibov (October 2, 1891September 12, 1916) was the first Azeri military pilot during the World War I. He graduated at the Mikhaylovskoye Military College. On September 12, 1916 Gaibov, a member of Ilya Muromets N16 bomber crew, which was attacked by four German fighter aircraft, shook down three of them but died in a long odds.

Gaibov was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav, Order of St. Anna and 4th class Order of St. George (posthumously).
