Farmington CDP is a census-designated place within the town of Farmington in Strafford County, New Hampshire, United States. The U.S. Census uses the CDP report to provide demographic details for the central village area within the town. All the values reported here are included in the aggregate values reported for the town. The population was 3,468 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the place has a total area of 16.6 km² (6.4 mi²), all land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3,468 people, 1,332 households, and 904 families residing in the area. The population density was 209.2/km² (541.6/mi²). There were 1,440 housing units at an average density of 86.9 persons/km² (224.9 persons/mi²). The racial makeup of the community was 98.13% White, 0.00% African American, 0.55% Native American, 0.12% Asian, 0.26% from other races, and 0.95% from two or more races. 1.10% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 1,332 households out of which 36.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.2% were married couples living together, 13.5% have a woman whose husband does not live with her, and 32.1% were non-families. 25.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.59 and the average family size was 3.07.
In the community the population was spread out with 28.5% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 98.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.0 males.
The median income for a household in the village area was $35,313, and the median income for a family was $39,931. Males had a median income of $31,952 versus $24,617 for females. The per capita income for the community was $15,048. 12.7% of the population and 8.8% of families were below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 11.0% are under the age of 18 and 15.3% are 65 or older.
