Farm to Market Road 423 or FM 423 is major north-south road that stretches from US 380 southward to Texas 121. Locally known as Main Street on its southern section, FM 423 provides access to area highways for both existing housing and new subdivisions being developed in the center of Denton County. Plans are currently underway to widen FM 423 from its existing two-lane (south)/one-lane (north) facility to a new eight-lane (south)/six-lane (north) thoroughfare.
