Farington railway station

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Farington railway station was a railway station serving Farington near Preston in Lancashire, England

Following the Beeching Axe, the direct rail lines from Preston to Walton-le-Dale and east Lancashire were removed and Farington lost its stop. The West Coast Main Line and East Lancashire Branch Line run through Farington and still carry services.

Lostock Hall railway station and Leyland railway station are the nearest stops to the village.
