From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Farge is a small port on the Weser River north of Bremen. It is part of Bremen-Blumenthal, which is one of the districts of the state of Bremen.

[edit] History

During World War II Farge was the site of an oil-storage depot and the Valentin submarine pens that were attacked by the Royal Air Force on 27 March 1945. The pens had a ferrous concrete roof 7 metres (23 feet) thick which was penetrated by two Grand Slam bombs.[1]
