FARICE-1 is a submarine communications cable system connecting Iceland, Faroe Islands and Scotland. 80% is owned by Iceland and 20% by Faroe Islands.

The cable is in use since March 2004, making the older CANTAT-3 to just a "back up" for the Faroes and Iceland. In 2007, SHEFA-2 will connect the Faroes, Shetland and the Orkneys with Scotland.
