Fantastic Four is an action adventure game based on the 2005 film of the Fantastic Four. Players play as the characters of the Fantastic Four using combos and special attacks to fight their way through hordes of enemies and bosses.
The Fantastic Four is a group of Marvel heroes who protect the world. As implied, the Fantastic Four is a group of four. Each of the characters have special abilities which they can use to their own extent:
- Mister Fantastic has the ability to stretch his limbs at will, such as his arms and legs.
- The Invisible Woman possesses the ability to bend light and ultimately become invisible, as well as shoot force from her body at will, usually from her hands.
- The Human Torch can control fire, as well as have his body covered in it. He propels himself through the air using the power, which is an ability players can use in the game.
- The Thing is incredibly strong and has an exterior stronger than diamonds, and can carry heavy objects with ease, as players will find out while playing as him.
The game includes a number of villains and characters not featured in the movie, many of whom are based on the Ultimate Universe versions.

[edit] Music
The game is notable for having four bands record brand new songs to be used as the themes for the characters. The bands who contributed songs and who their song was for are:
- Taking Back Sunday 'Error Operator' (Mr. Fantastic)
- Go Betty Go 'Invisible' (Invisible Woman)
- The Explosion 'I'm On Fire' (Human Torch)
- Jurassic 5 'Clobberin' Time' (The Thing)
Taking Back Sunday's 'Error Operator' was also the only song composed for the game to appear on the film's soundtrack - It also appears in the film during the scene where The Thing goes into a bar. The song was re-worked for the band's 2006 album Louder Now.
