Fanfare Magazine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fanfare Magazine is a publication devoted to classical music, and in particular recordings of classical works. It has a large staff with a diverse range of expertise from the medieval through contemporary works. Describing itself as the magazine for "the serious collector", its reviews often go in depth on recording and sound quality as much as the performance or work in question.
Fanfare Magazine was inaugurated by Joel Flegler of Tenafly, New Jersey in September 1977. (Cornell University Library reference) He is still its publisher.
It has the ISSN 0148-9364.
