what would a non-profit organization do to promote family-work balance?
well, they could raise awareness about the issues to make sure that Congress does not pass laws that prevent people from, say, taking maternity leave, or taking time off to care for a sick child. As of now, employers who are not a certain size are exempt from the FMLA meaning it is 100% legal for them to fire someone if that person had to go home because his/her kid threw up at school and needed to leave.
