[edit] Peter Quail (Brantford)

Quail is a farmer by profession, and also began operations of the St. George Company Ltd. in 1982. The company remains active, and sells a variety of garden accessories.[1] During the 1980s and 1990s, Quail was the North American distributor for an air-filtration helmet marketed to chronic and severe allergy sufferers (Toronto Star, 16 May 1988; Hamilton Spectator, 10 April 1993).

Quail received 1,413 votes (3.87%), finishing fourth against New Democratic Party candidate Brad Ward.

He wrote a letter to the National Post newspaper in 1999, arguing that parents should not calculate the financial costs of having children before deciding starting a family. Commenting on a recent Statistics Canada report about family planning, he wrote, "a large and happy family is something money cannot give or buy" (National Post, 30 December 1999). Quail has also written against the Kyoto Accord, and has argued that global warming is the result of a natural change in the Earth's temperature.[2]

He served on Canadian Catholic Bioethics Institute Board of Directors in 2005.[3]

[edit] Jewell Wolgram (Hamilton Centre)

No information. Wolgram received 365 votes (1.44%), finishing sixth against New Democratic Party candidate David Christopherson.
