[edit] The Barony von Gloeden

I put a cleanup tag on this article because it didn't confirm to Wikipedia's usual style and formatting preferences (whch is what the tag says). It has nothing ot do with bias. I'm sorry if you misunderstood this. But generally speaking, genealogical articles should focus on those members of a family that are individually notable, and don't really need to list every member. u p p l a n d 04:27, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

The lineage is important because of claims made against the Barony, true or false. Direct lineage for Wilhelm von Gloeden can not be substantiated. The noteables included are connectors for the links of several European royal families. The source book cited (from 1842), which I have translated, is probably the only remaining copy of its kind in the world and the information is not available anywhere else, internet or otherwise. I have removed all of the material since it is not acceptable to Uppland. This is not the kind of user space I thought it was.
This has nothing to do with what is acceptable to me personally; the "cleanup" tag is concerned with formatting and style, not content. It has to do with the general and common article formatting guidelines of Wikipedia. But when I mentioned that "genealogical articles should focus on those members of a family that are individually notable", this is based in Wikipedia guidelines and the general consensus which has evolved around here; again, it has nothing to do with my personal preferences. Please read my message above and follow the links in the welcome message above that. u p p l a n d 04:57, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
