This map shows the initial landings by the British 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines around San Carlos Water during the Falklands War on the night of 1982 May 21. Special Boat Services (SBS) were first landed west of Green beach to deal with the Fanning Head Mob and secure the landing beaches. 45 Commando landed at Red Beach 1 at Ajax Bay, 40 Commando at Blue Beach and 2 Para at Blue Beach 2 both at San Carlos with 2 Para moving South to Sussex mountains to protect the bridgehead, and 42 Commando and 3 Para at Green Beach at Port San Carlos.
