Falcon Works

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Falcon Works, Loughborough, were the home of Hughes' Locomotive & Tramway Company, and subsequently the Brush Traction Company. Included in the steam locomotives built there was Corris Railway No.3, now running on the Talyllyn Railway and "Belmont" on the Snailbeach District Railways .

The large statue of a falcon from these works is now at the National Tramway Museum / Crich Tramway Village.
