This work is in the public domain worldwide. This is because either:
- It is a photograph created by the United Kingdom Government more than 50 years ago; or
- It is an engraving created by the United Kingdom Government and commercially published more than 50 years ago; or
- It is an artistic work other than a photograph or engraving which was created by the United Kingdom Government more than 50 years ago.
Jacques Trempe collected aircraft photos that were sent by government agencies, aircraft manufacturers and the like from childhood. The photo in question was taken by a member of the British government and intended for use as a promotional piece in the 1950s. The Trempe photos are now posted on the web for anyone to use with no copyright restrictions. See: [1]
