Fahad Al Mahmood is the current owner, webmaster, and editor of the website (Fahad Inc) at (http://www.fahad.com). Fahad Al Mahmood was the first person to establish a personal home page dedicated to his country (The United Arab Emirates).
Fahad's first exposure to the net was mid 1994 in his first semester in (Embry Riddle Aeronautical University) in Daytona Beach, Florida when he was introduced to Internet Relay Chat (IRC) through the university UNIX machines. He was then able to explore the net through (Gopher protocol) protocol.
January 1995, Fahad was first introduced to what we call "Internet Browsing" using (Netscape 1.0) by his friend (Marwan Al-Zarouni) who he first met in college. Not only that but (Marwan Al-Zarouni) tought him about HTML and showed him how a person can easily learn HTML through viewing internet page sources. Both Fahad & Marwan had their first home pages hosted in the server of their school.
Fahad created his first home page (UAE Forever) in the United States early 1995 and was published through his student home page in (Embry Riddle Aeronautical University) while he was obtaining his bachelor degree. In July 1995, Fahad was browsing the internet using a new product from Micrsoft named (Internet Explorer 1.0). He then later switched browsing to Internet Explorer cause it had better support to Arabic language than Netscape.
After graduating in December 1998, Fahad went back home early 1999 for a couple of years then back to the United States to work on his Masters degree in 2001. May 2003, Fahad decided to close his website (UAE Forever) when he realized that the information about the UAE wer outdated and he was not able to continue serving people through the website.
Fahad concentrated more on his studies and on working on (MATLAB). He has his own contribution to (MATLAB File Exchange).
After a year and a half away from the internet world, Fahad Al Mahmood was again introduced to the new internet revolution by his old friend (Marwan Al-Zarouni) in December 2004. The new internet revolution is (Blogging)! Marwan is the current owner of (http://www.marwan.com). April 2005, Fahad decided to go back to the internet world through his new website and new domain (www.fahadinc.com). July 2005 he was lucky to be able to purchase the domain name (www.fahad.com) from a saudi company. It was his dream for long time to own that domain name.
Fahad Al Mahmood finally got his Masters degree in December 2005 and he is still working on his website (Fahad Inc) where he posts his what he finds interesting in the current world of Internet, technology and gadgets.
