Fahrenheit 451 are an Essex, England based political indie/punk/rock band, named after the dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. The band are Jez (guitar, vocals), Jon (drums, vocals) and Matt (bass, vocals), who tour the South of England regularly. The band have released two EPs to date - The New Empire in January 2005 and The Catastrophe EP in January 2006, with a third, The Battleground Is Everywhere EP, due out in February 2007. The band cite groups such as Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild and Muse and writers such as George Orwell, Anthony Burgess and Aldous Huxley as influences upon their musical style and lyrical content.
