The name Fafnir665 arose from two sources, like most names with alphanumerics. The Fafnir portion came about at Hackers_On_Planet_Earth 2000, in a desperate attempt to come up with a handle that did not sound lame. The 665 is the name of a private network built in 99, and inconsistently running since.
