With Chiquititas, Arana achieved international celebrity, playing Sol's father. At the same time, he worked with the also well known Argentine actor Gastón Pauls in a play named El Rafa.
During 2000, Arana and Malena Solda played a romantic couple in another television series, Buenos Vecinos (Good Neighbors). He had participated alongside Gianella Neyra in a show named Yago, Pasión Morena (Yago, Dark Passion), just prior to acting with Solda in Buenos Vecinos.
