Fachhochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin

The Fachhochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (German, literally University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Economy) or FHTW is the youngest and largest University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany. It has almost 10,000 students studying in programs in the area of computer science, technology, business and graphic arts.

FHTW is a result of several mergings of pre-existing institutions.
1874 - Founding of the technical school for decomposition, composition and design, later the Textil- and Fashion School Berlin, after that the School of Engineering for Wear Technology, since 1990 section Wear Technology of the Engineer School Berlin
1948 - Founding of the School of Engineering, electrical engineering and architecture, since 1988 Engineer University Berlin
1991 - FHTW in founding, integration of the Engineer University Berlin as soon as the takeover the properties of the University for Economy in Berlin-Karlshorst and the University of Engineering Berlin-Wartenberg in Blankenburg
1994 - legal entity
1996 - Integration of the University of Applied Sciences German Telecom
2004 - Celebration of ten-year anniversary

- Campus Treskoallee (Karlshorst, the Main Campus)
- Campus Warschauer Platz
