[edit] Prologue

Troi wakes in a darkened room suffering from the effects of some sort of drug. She asks the computer for the lights without any effect. She stumbles to the wall control and the lights come up but staring back at her is a strange person. She's become a Romulan!

[edit] Plot

The Romulan underground has kidnapped Counselor Troi for a daring and dangerous mission. Masquerading as a member of the feared Tal Shiar, the Romulan Secret Police, Troi must shepherd a load of mysterious cargo to Federation space.

[edit] Climax

The Commander of the Romulan ship makes plans to assault the Enterprise and Troi seizes command under her "authority". In her capacity as Commander she is able to transport the cargo to the Enterprise. This act is quickly discovered and Troi is arrested. Just as the Warbird begins to cloak the Enterprise beams her off and speeds away at maximum warp.

Troi is restored to her true form and learns that the "cargo" is actually Vice Proconsul M'Ret and his aides, the highest ranking Romulan officer ever to defect to the Federation.
