Face Foundation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Face Foundation (established 1990) is a non-profit organization specialised in carbon offsets through forestry projects. It is based in Arnhem, The Netherlands. The name was originally conceived as an acronym for 'Forests Absorbing Carbon dioxide Emission'.
In 2005 and 2006, FACE Foundation projects in Ecuador and Uganda became subject to heavy criticism from environmental organizations due to environmental or social problems allegedly caused by the projects.
