[edit] Still interested in admin coaching?
Hi Fabrib. Are you still interested in getting some admin coaching? If so, I can try to pair you with a coach. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 19:28, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Fabrib,
- If you need an admin coach, I am available. If you're interested, just let me know by leaving a note on my talk page. Best wishes, Firsfron of Ronchester 22:53, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- OK, great. :) I've taken a look at your contributions, and it looks like you have lots of great ones. I'm sure you'll make a great administrator; I'm looking forward to working with you. One question: should I be calling you "Fabio" (your sig) or "Fabrib" (your userpage name)? Also, I usually like to coach on a sub-page, such as User:Fabrib/Admin coaching. So if you'd like to create one, we'll get started! :) Firsfron of Ronchester 18:03, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Also check out the Virtual classroom
Are you ready to get started?
I'm an admin coach with the project, and for my students I set up a group discussion page so that we could all learn from each other. The scope of this concept has expanded into the Virtual classroom, which is an open forum for the teaching and learning of advanced Wikipedia skills. It is supplemental to the admin coaching program.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate, as a student, as a coach, or both. Every week or two a new major topic of discussion or classroom assignment is introduced, usually with a guest writer who presents his or her expertise on the current subject and who remains on hand to answer questions. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussions, such as sharing your expertise, asking and answering questions, etc.
The current topic of discussion is vandalism, and our guest writer is Budgiekiller.
All discussions are open-ended, so all previous discussion topics and classroom assignments are still there for viewing and further participation. There are also sections for posting miscellaneous topics and questions, requesting coaching assistance, etc.
In addition to inviting those who would like to learn, I routinely invite experts from all over Wikipedia to come and contribute for the benefit of all. The VC is rapidly turning into a clearing house of the best resources, methods, and techniques known for working on Wikipedia.
You are cordially invited to participate.
Here's an announcement box which you can place on your userpage or at the top of your talk page for keeping up to date with classroom assignments.
I hope to see you there. Sincerely, The Transhumanist 08:41, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikiproject Automobiles Notification
Hi Fabrib, you were on the list of members at WikiProject Automobiles and we are introducing a new way of listing members, as the old list was becoming too long. Our new method involves having all of our members in a category.
To add yourself to the category just add the userbox to your user page by putting {{Wiki Auto Project}} where you want the userbox. Alternatively if you don't like the userbox you can add [[Category:WikiProject Automobiles members|Fabrib]] to your userpage.
If you no longer wish to be a member of the project, simply don't add the userbox or category, there's no pressure. Thanks for your time, James086Talk | Contribs 05:07, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Pardon for intruding, but would you be interested in supporting the creation of a project about trucks? Please feel free to sign up or just comment at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Trucks. Rotten Stone 16:28, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for supporting the proposal of a project about trucks. There's now a temporary project page at User:Rotten Stone/WikiProject Trucks. Would you please take a look and then add, subtract or comment? Rotten Stone 16:50, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Potts01.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Potts01.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:50, 8 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 17:50, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Skins EP1.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Skins EP1.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Tom ap Rhys Pryce01.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Tom ap Rhys Pryce01.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Proposed Wikipedia talk:Notability (news)
In the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Murder of Tom ap Rhys Pryce in which you participated, some editors suggested the need for a guideline where a consensus could be reached regarding whether everything which is newsworthy is also encyclopedic. I have created a draft of a proposed guideline Wikipedia talk:Notability (news). Your input is welcome. Thanks. Edison 15:21, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Helping out with the Unassessed Wikipedia Biographies
Seeing that you are an active member of the WikiBiography Project, I was wondering if you would help lend a hand in helping us clear out the amount of unassessed articles tagged with {{WPBiography}}. Many of them are of stub and start class, but a few are of B or A caliber. Getting a simple assessment rating can help us start moving many of these biographies to a higher quality article. Thank you! --Ozgod 20:42, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
