From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 1977 FA Cup Final was contested by Manchester United and Liverpool at Wembley. United won 2-1, with goals by Stuart Pearson and Jimmy Greenhoff. Jimmy Case scored Liverpool's goal. All three goals came in a five-minute period in the second half. United's victory prevented Liverpool winning the treble, a feat that Manchester United would achieved in the 1998-1999 season.
