Paços de Ferreira (pron. IPA: ['pasuʃ dɨ fɨ'ʁɐiɾɐ]), commonly shortened to P.Ferreira, is a Portuguese football club based in Paços de Ferreira, who have won the II Liga three times, most recently in the 2004-2005 season. The club is also in the process of building a new 25,000 seat stadium. FC Paços de Ferreira currently play at the Estádio da Mata Real in Paços de Ferreira in northern Portugal. The current team sponsor is Capital do Móvel and their kits are Yellow and Green.

It's football team currently play in the top tier, the SuperLiga. Paços de Ferreira most times are not taken seriously in the Superliga which leads to many surprises such as the 1-0 win against Sporting Lisboa and a 1-1 draw with SL Benfica.

In the Portuguese second Football Championship, the club is usually a heavy contender in the battle to reach Promotion.

Other rivals out side of Portugal is between Spain's Celta de Vigo which both teams play each other every pre-season.

The origin of Paços de Ferreira began in the 1930s when the club was named Sport Club Pacense. The club played two decades without any official recognition until they began playing in the lower divisions in the 1950s where the club's name was 'Futebol clube Vasco da Gama which eventually was given to the Brazilian club Vasco da Gama the club officials then changed the kit colours to Green and Yellow and called themselves , F. C. Paços de Ferreira.

The beginning of F. C. Paços de Ferreira was on November 19 of 1950 where they beat Lousada 2-1 a sign of a bright future in Portugal. Agostinho Alves was F. C. Paços de Ferreira first goal scorer in the history of the Pacenses. The club then played in Portugal's Third Regional Division until the 1956\1957 season where they were Champion's. The club crest was then created in the 1961-1962 season and has been used ever since.

The club then was relegated but they again were promoted and their fanatical support hit the streets of Paços de Ferreira on June 17 of 1973 when they defeated Perosinho 3-0.

One year later the Pacos came back to inflate their fans ego with the third division championship, On June 14, 1974 the Pacenese invaded the Estádio Municipal de Leiria where they defeated Estrela de Portalegre. The hero of the game was Mascarenhas who scored.
