F.A.I.R. School (Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Resource) is a magnet school located in Crystal, Minnesota that specializes in the Fine Arts. It is 4-8th grade.
It's part of the WMEP (West METro Education PRogram) School District, with it's partner school IDDS (Inter District Downtown School), located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, which is K-12.

F.A.I.R was created with an idea to incorporate art into traditional academics and encourage diversity. It's slogan is
"We are a Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Resource community empowered by diversity, and committed to academic excellence and artistic expression."

F.A.I.R. School extends it's reach to a wide variety of arts like...
[edit] Theater
Mr. Hegg the theater teacher works with Stages Theater co. to produce 2 shows each year ( a fall musical and spring play). These have included past shows like Robin Hood, Wind of a Thousand Tales, Into the Woods, Jr., and currently The Wonderland Project. IDDS sometimes does performances in the F.A.I.R School Stage too. There's also the black box, a replica of the area of space of the stage, where Mr. Hegg and the various assisstants will work with classes.

F.A.I.R. has had two different dance teachers since its start in, - Sarah Hauss and Stephanie Johnson.

Ms. Johnson taught at F.A.I.R. from it's start in (unknown) until 2004. She has her own dance troupe, and taught mostly modern dance in the F.A.I.R. dancing area..
[edit] Sarah Hauss
Ms. Hauss is the current dancer at F.A.I.R and teaches mostly modern dace too. She teaches class int he F.A.I.R. dance space every day, ocassionaly putting on performances that showcase what the students have been woprking on.
[edit] Stuart Pimslerr Dance Residency
Every year Minneapolis dancer Stuart Pimslerr (from Stuart Pimslerr Dance Company (Stuart Pimslerr Dancers) and members of his troupe come into the 6th grade to teach and explore dance, eventually having it gel into a show.

Ms. H-D is the Visual Artss teacher at F.A.I.R. School, teaching everyone things like sculpting, wheel throwing, body structure, sketching, landscapes, and more.

Ms. Arndt and Ms. Rothstein are the two teacher who teach MEdia Arts at F.A.I.R. School. This includes the T.V. Studio, Mac Lab, Digital photographs, animation, and photoshopped pictures.

[edit] 'Annual Voicess Magazine
The annual art magazine Voicesss is work published by F.A.I.R. students. Poems, stories, drawings are included. Each issue is released every April.

The F.A.I.R. Media Center inclduedes books, reference materials, movies, and computers for researching stuff. It is headed by Ms. Cabrera and Ms. Johnson (not to be ocnfused with the former dance teacher :) )

F.A.I.R School was the school featured as the school that the character played by Hayden Panettiere went to in Joe Somebody.
