F. E. McWilliam

FE McWilliam (30 April 1909- 13 May 1992), Irish surrealist sculptor, born in Banbridge, County Down. He worked in stone, wood and bronze chiefly.

F.E.McWilliam [1909-89] was born in Northern Ireland and studied at the Slade School of Art. Commissions included the 'Four Seasons Group' for the Festival of Britain exhibition in 1951. McWilliam exhibited at Waddingtons Gallery, London and had a major retrospective show at the Tate Gallery in 1989. F.E. McWilliam is represented in many public collections, including MOMA [NY] and Tate Gallery [London].
