F. C. Japan

F.C. Japan is an American soccer team that competes in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League. It is the biggest Japanese soccer team in New York City with 60 Japanese players. The players have different backgrounds, from such as high school players up to a 40 year old veteran. The level of play has a wide range as well - beginner to semi-pro.
FCJ practices every Saturday morning at the East River Side Park.

1992: Established by Kenichi Yatsuhashi who had just retired from Associacao Olimpica de Lavras a second division team in Brazil. The team's name was S.I.C.J.A. at this moment.
1993: First Japanese team to officially participate in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League(CSL)
2000: Merges with another Japanese team which name was JAMS - Changes name to F.C. Japan
2000: Promoted to the 2nd Division of CSL and established its reserve team
