The Fédération Malienne de Cricket (FeMaCrik) became an associate member of the International Cricket Council in 2005.

FeMaCrik was founded and is run by Dr Phil Watson, a Christian Missionary from Wales. He and his family moved out to Mali at the turn of the 21st century and has been influential in bringing cricket to this French speaking country.
