Eyvind Alnæs

Eyvind Alnæs (April 29, 1872, FredrikstadDecember 24, 1932, Oslo) was a Norwegian composer.

Alnæs studied in Oslo with Iver Holter, in Leipzig with Carl Reinecke, as well as in Berlin. From 1895 to 1907, he served as an organist in Drammen, and later also played the organ and conducted choirs in Oslo. He helped found the Norwegian Society of Composers.

Alnæs wrote music in a late Romantic style, and his output included two symphonies, one set of symphonic variations, one piano concerto, pieces for piano, choral preludes for organ, choral works, and art songs (in Norwegian, romanser).
