[10:35] Bradley: Well, I dont really like Wiki much because it tends to be unrealiable at best.

[10:36] Orca: Yeah, because the stuff you see is contributed by people like me, anonymously, who run on nothing but memory, as much logic as possible, some references, and alot of pointlessness :p

[10:36] Orca: j/k

[10:36] Bradley: Haha

[10:36] Orca: Then again, nothing can beat personal memory at detail.

[10:36] Orca: In a specific area.

[10:37] Orca: Nor personal experience.

[10:38] Bradley: I guess... but one person's personal experience is not always perfect nor accurate, as well it doesn't follow the same way from person to person.

[10:38] Orca: Yeah

[10:38] Orca: That's the difference between storytelling and rote regurgitation.

[10:39] Orca: If all resources were to be and must be entirely factual and thoroughly agreed on, the koran, for example, would never have reached the printing press.

[10:39] Orca: Or the bible.

[10:39] Orca: Or the US constitution.

[10:40] Orca: Think of it. The whole foundation of human existence is built on the phrase "I am not too sure."

[10:41] Orca: And that's where wikipedia comes in... it isn't to replace the existing encyclopedias, which are allegedly complete, and certain in every statement printed, at least when they were published, which isn't very often. Ergo, once they come off the press, they are obsolete.

[10:42] Orca: It is to fill the gap left between encyclopedias and the real necessities of life.

[10:42] Orca: Of which life doesn't wait for anybody to catch up, life doesn't wait for others to prove itself, and life is never totally certain.
