Extra is an adjective meaning in addition to the usual or expected matter/or amount. It may also refer to:

  • Extra, a performer in a film, television show, or stage production who appears in a nonspeaking capacity, usually in the background (for example, in an audience or busy street scene).
  • extr@, an educational TV series that has the same episodes in 4 different languages with different actors to teach the languages. The languages are Spanish, French, German, and ESL.
  • The Extra Girl, a 1923 film about a small-town girl who comes to Hollywood and becomes an extra in her attempt to achieve stardom.
  • Extra, a tabloid television program made in the United States.
  • Extras, a British sitcom written by and starring Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
  • A special printing of a newspaper containing important news that has occurred since the last scheduled print run. In modern times, however, the availability of radio, television and the internet has meant extra editions are not very common.
  • Extra (cricket), a run scored in the sport of cricket by any means other than a batsman hitting the ball.
  • Extra Flugzeugbau, a German manufacturer of aerobatic aircraft founded by Walter Extra.
  • Extra (newspaper), a Venezuelan newspaper.
  • Extra is the name of a popular, long-running lifestyle/public affairs TV program aired on Channel 9 Brisbane.
  • EXTRA! X-treme, a popular terminal emulator product from Attachmate.
