Talk:Exploding head

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Someone needs to add a note about "YOUR HEAD A SPLODE" from Homestar Runner.

I have a animated GIF of the exploding head from Scanners- http://www.esplatter.com/images/am/explode.gif

[edit] Horror Movies

Am I the only one who noticed that while this article refers to exploding heads in cartoons and comic strips, there's no mention beyond a link to the Scanners article to their appearance in horror movies?--Tenka Muteki 21:08, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Well not now. Is it a common phenomenon? --Kizor 10:51, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

To be precise, it seemed to be common in horror films after Dawn of the Dead (which, from my research, was the first film to include such a scene) and was actually rather common in 80's horror films (even appearing in a scene from Star Trek: The Next Generation). Though it died down in the 90's, it does seem odd that there's no reference beyond a minor refference to Scanners.--Tenka Muteki 18:01, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Where's Tom Servo from MST3K? His head goes boom often enough!--Knowledgepixie 04:41, 23 August 2006 (UTC)KnowledgePixie

He's just one head-exploder among many, despite his sleek robotichood. It's really quite common. --Kizor 10:51, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

I just added a link under "See Also" to an article I just created called "Movies that feature head explosions." It's a pretty small list so far. Lemmy12 03:34, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
