[edit] Opening narration

[edit] Plot synopsis

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Loosely based on the legends surrounding Timothy Leary's experiments with consciousness expansion drugs, this episode literally expands on the subject itself by mixing in elements of the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde story. A university professor working on the field of CE (consciousness expansion) accidentally stumbles upon a formula that completely enhances his body and mind. He becomes a superhuman with extra-sensorial and telephatic powers. However, he loses sense of compassion and commits self-servicing murders, all the while keeping his true personality in the dark. When the formula wears off, the professor doesn't remember any thing. When his friend starts suspecting something's wrong, the professor's evil version decides to try and force him to "cross over", making him try the formula himself.

[edit] Closing narration

"Some success, some failure, but either way the gnawing hunger to know is never sated, and the road to the unknown continues to be dark and strange."
