Talk:Excite

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a former employee from the @Home side, this article is largely crock. The whole "pioneers of the new economy" bit made me laugh, though. In my own less than humble opinion, Tom Jornalouk, then CEO of @Home negotiatied the merger with Excite largely at the behest of Kleiner Perkins so they could recoup their intial investment in the ensuing merger fever. The fact that the stock hit almost $200 per, KP bailed out, then Mr. Jornalouk quit and signed on with KP more than slightly supports this. This is speculation on my part of course, because TJ can afford a better lawyer than me, mostly due to all the cash he gets from KP. I'm betting he found it amusing to immediately start slagging the company he was part of founding off in the press with meaningless dot com era buzzwords like "they aren't scaleable". Good luck with the position TJ.

[edit] Changed @Home redirect to point to @Home Network

I changed the @Home redirect to point to @Home Network instead of Excite. In reviewing both articles it appears that the other article appears to be a more appropriate redirect. Dugwiki 17:55, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article Cleanup

I am at work so I can't do the cleanup right now; however this article has many different spelling and grammatical errors. The formatting of the article is abysmal also. GZAdmin 21:42, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
