Hey. You might be interested in this wikibook that I co-wrote: wikibooks:Super NES Programming.
Maybe this too: N64
There's no gamecube programming wikibook because it's difficult to program for, I think.
I'd greatly appreciate any insight you could give about nintendo's official equipment, their feelings toward homebrew, etc.

[edit] Apologies For Self-Spamming
Sorry about cluttering the PlayStation 3/Portable pages with our link. Had I actually read the entries on spamming, I wouldn't have done it -- or at least would asked someone who was a little more impartial about it first. Though after nine years of it being around I definitely don't see TotalPlayStation as a fan site (for obvious reasons), and wanted to add it in with the IGNs, 1UPs and GameSpots out there, it is my company, and I hadn't realized that was (frankly) a no-brainer. Won't happen again! SamBishop
[edit] Metroid II DX
Nice job on the explanation of the colorization glitch. I don't know what it entails so I couldn't rightly reword it. Kil(talk) 01:41, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] controller
nintendo please read the ps3 discussion and share your opinions. Dancter, Enlightened, and I (gatoatigrado) want to change it to Dancter's version, with the inclusion of the Immersion controller. please read the discussion and reconsider. I don't want to have an edit war. Thanks.
-
- I don't think there's anything really to "reconsider"- the only thing that I really saw that needed to be kept in there was the mention that it was speculation regarding the immersion suit. After all, for all we know Sony could be using some weird technology that goes crazy if the controller is jiggled, given their statements. Since nobody here has the controller in hand, all we can do is speculate. Ex-Nintendo Employee 03:04, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Why did you revert me without a reason?
In my edit here [1] you reverted it with no reason. I can understand if you didn't like it but you could have at least put a reason that's why we have edit notes. I was just trying to make the headings more descriptive that's all. Why did you revert and why did you not give a reason? MrVoluntarist 18:12, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
-
- Replied on user's talk page. Ex-Nintendo Employee 19:57, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
-
-
- None of that justifes a reasonless revert. You could have said *something* to that effect. That's why we have edit notes, remember? In any case, the reasons you gave didn't justify a full revert, just a removal or clarification of some. MrVoluntarist 20:40, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
-
-
-
-
- I entirely disagree. None of what you added to that segment benefitted Wikipedia (subtitling the section headings is unneccesary entirely, not merely because of the reasons I stated), and I feel in no way compelled to spend a significant amount of time detailing precisely the reason I reverted when it was plainly obvious. In any case, I've made my statement regarding you, so this matter is ended. Good day! Ex-Nintendo Employee 01:29, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

-
- The reason was not obvious. You are obligated to put a reason for changes like that as a courtesy to other Wikipedians. Please keep this in mind in the future to make Wikipedia a better place. I'd also advise not making such blatantly anti-Sony edits, given your personal history and username. Now the "matter is ended". You have yourself a great day, kid. And remember to keep Wikipedia a pleasant place for everyone. MrVoluntarist 02:03, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

- Actually, I would disagree with you. While edit comments are a nice way to summarize an edit, and, during a debate or revert war, lend some commentary to try and resolve the conflict, I have searched many of wikipedia's guidline articles and have found no mention of any obligation to write an edit summary for every edit. If you can link me to this, I'd be much obliged, but either way, it certainly doesn't justify harassment. -- Digital Watches 09:39, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

-
- To be blunt, MrVoluntarist, your edit sort of looks like a joke, and I would have reverted it too. You've been here long enough to know that naming a section Retail configurations and pricing: High value wouldn't follow style guidelines, and is blatantly anti-NPOV as well. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Snarius (talk • contribs) .
-
- Sorry, I meant to put that part in quotes. I was going to later add to that section a quote from a commentator about it (which used the term "high value"), but obviously I hadn't gotten there. You're right, it would have probably biased it, but I really wanted to make the titles convey more information and a better description of the content. Still, none of that justifies reverting as if it were vandalism. I'm registered, keep in mind. MrVoluntarist 03:25, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

-
- Quite frankly, your edit content no longer surprises me, given your response. You made a blatantly POV edit and were reverted, and you asked why. I responded and I attempted to be polite with you as to the reasons behind it. You, on the other hand, have accused ME of bias, when in reality my posts have been concerned equally with ensuring accuracy in all times. In fact, anyone who wishes can note a multitude of prior edits on my part [2] [3][4] [5][6] that have been in Nintendo and Sony's favor as WELL as maintaining the integrity of the information on Wikipedia. Your accusations of bias, in other words, are entirely unfounded. Furthermore, I advise you to refrain in the future from the personal slurs you've levelled at me, as Wikipedia has strong policies concerning attacking users in such a manner. As for my username, I'm not sure what you could infer from it except what it already says on my userpage. I worked at Nintendo for a short period in 2001, hence the moniker. I believe my buisness with you is complete, so I would suggest you leave me alone. Ex-Nintendo Employee 05:14, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nintendo Wii?
I'm not sure what you meant when you posted on my talk page. Can you be more specific? If you're talking about the Gyration thing, I just did a little research and, according to MANY blogs, it seems that Nintendo DID buy some of gyration's stock, and gyration released an optical mouse replacement similar to the Wii-mote, but so far all I've found is that Nintendo used the gyration technology for Yoshi Topsy Turvy and Wario Ware Twisted. The corrolation between the Wii-mote and this gyroscopical device is a mere coinscidence until someone can find hard facts from a news page or something. Also, Gyration deals only in gyroscopes and apparently the Wii-mote doesn't use them because it can sense the z axis (distance from TV, which isn't a gyro function). I think people are jsut extrapolating. --Thaddius 11:17, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- I figured it out. Posted on the talk page. --Thaddius 13:57, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- PS, sorry for the misunderstanding on the gamepad page. I thought I was right (still do actually) and I felt you were being a little too agressive in your language. Mine, althuogh possibly patronizing, was not agressive. I'll do what I can to reduce the amount of 'misunderstandings' in the future. --Thaddius 13:58, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RE4
Sorry about the deletions that have been occurring, I keep forgetting that when opening new windows in tabs it sometimes chops off the bottom of any wikipedia article you edit. Hopefully, Google will sort this out and hopefully in future, I will remember to open an entirely new window when editing WP, instead of using tabs. thanks, mate. Geoff B 00:46, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Heather & Co.
I think I found the same info on Heather that you did. I agree it looks genuine, but alas, no name. (Even if there was one, since the information is currently "offline" it probably wouldn't be right to use it from that source.) The network probably is trying to keep the names quiet to avoid anyone guessing the ending of the show early. The trick is to be ready to swoop in and grab the info quickly once the show ends: I'm worried that this will be much harder to research even a year from now. [edit] Articles about obscure Nintendo titles
Hello there. I noticed you updated the Kaeru No Tame Ni Kane Wa Naru article, and then I noticed that you are an ex-Nintendo employee. So, I just wanted to let you know that I am creating and updating mostly articles about obscure Nintendo titles. I also created the Tomato Adventure article, you can modify it if you need to. I'm still playing and studying other obscure Nintendo titles, so I can create and update more articles about them. I appreciate you for modifying the Kaeru No Tame Ni Kane Wa Naru article. Parrothead1983 14:07, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind words, too. When I created the Tomato Adventure article, someone was about to delete it, because he/she thought it's just "another plain video game", it's not genre-defining, and it didn't have cultural-influence. He also didn't think minor video game titles are encyclopedic. Then someone else came and said that every title developed and/or published by Nintendo should have a Wikipedia article of it's own, and Wikipedia is already flooded with articles about minor video game titles. Parrothead1983 14:01, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Meaning of "Nintendo"
Hey, no worries, glad we could all reach an understanding about that particular issue. I'm happy with how it's worked out. Ecksemmess 02:59, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re your revert of Nintendo
I apologise for not linking to the relevant section on the talk page, but I ran out of space in the edit summary. Talk:Nintendo#GA status is the section in question. Lincher stated that:
- Currently, Nintendo's main competitors on the gaming front are Sony and Microsoft. shouldn't be used as there is no time in an encyclopedia.
- upcoming Wii. same as above.
--Lumina83 08:23, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- Do you think there is some way that the relevant information could be reworded to fit, instead of merely removed? It does seem like it would be noteable to mention Nintendo's main competition. Ex-Nintendo Employee 09:08, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
-
- Perhaps we could replace "Currently" with "As of 2006". Do you think that would work? --Lumina83 00:54, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nintendo Corporate
Hey, thanks for reverting that edit I made, I was completely unaware of those other hand-held consoles, short-lived as they were. I'm still a little new to editing and citing references here-- I'll be a little less trusting next time around (especially if it's corporate website, eh?) I Jethrobot 06:53, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey man, Nintendo is really doing some weird stuff right now and it just might pay off. The DS although not as powerful as the PSP has it's own kind of charm. Animal crossing is just another way of life. 86.143.234.154 08:43, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Fluffycarpet2.JPG
I find it deeply irnoic that you would call the previous image "ugly-as-puffle" when the new image looks about 1000x worse - what the hell is that? The Play It Loud looks like it was colored in Microsoft Paint, an illustration, entirely uncyclopedic (considering that all of the other images are real photographs).
I also removed the image IMage:Fluffycarpet.JPG) in the first place because it appeard thgat you used the Nsider image, which is under copyright (not a free image), and thus isn't allowed. Well, it could be called a derative of a fair use work, but that would be superseded by the free image anyway, and I don't consider the Play It Loud to be the most essential thing to include. Hbdragon88 04:59, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- On another note, could you be more descriptive? "Fluffycarpet" is such a vague title. Name it "gameboyline with play it loud" or something so people don't think that they're gonig to look at a picture of a piece of carpet. Hbdragon88 05:00, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
It looks shabby and less-than-real when compared to the other Game Boys. The new image that you uploaded clocks in at 12KB, too, a severe reduction of resolution from the original Image:Gameboyline.jpg, which is a nice 119KB and very detailed in its full size. [edit] Vraman
Thanks. I'll keep an eye out as well. Does he usually focus on the MTV and VH1 articles? I have been involved with this user somewhat as I gave Vraman1988 a shorter block before someone else blocked him indefinitely, but am not familiar with the entire case. [edit] Pacifism
All I wanted was a source, and I think you provided that, so I don't feel strongly for or against your position. The only problem with your sources (and why I won't revert back to your position, or get involved any longer) is that they in my mind websites with a definite POV. To back up your statement, maybe find a published book or academic journal that discusses Jesus Christ's non-pacifist statements, and then I'll back the inclusion of a paragraph in the article. -- Jeff3000 14:51, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for that edit on Mellat Park. -- Jeff3000 20:47, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Thanks a lot for the cool cucumber. I really appreciate it. I must also thank you for also stepping in (that is even more appreciated). I know it's just Wikipedia, but threats like the ones he was making at the end, did get me a little on my edge. [edit] Manchester Game Boy
I'm curious to know more about the Image:Manchester Game Boy.png. Do you have a larger picture? When was it released? I can see "Manchester United Football Club" on it - did they release it as a promo item? At a game? Or did they charge for it? It it sized like a Game Boy or is it the slimmer Game Boy Pocket? Hbdragon88 22:03, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- Cool. Regardless, thanks for uploading it - now we can get rid of the copyrighted N-sder Play It Loud image! Hbdragon88 22:24, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Do you know what language this site is in [7]? Maybe we can ask the owner to release the Manchester one under GFDL or CC licensing. Hbdragon88 22:25, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Howard Moscoe
I've been asking for outside intervention on this page for some time, although I'm not certain that formal mediation is the best way to go at the present time. I think GoldDragon and I may finally be on the verge of a breakthrough in one of the most contested sections of the article; if so, the need for mediation may become less compelling. CJCurrie 23:27, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Source
First the Porfomo Toy company accusastions are real. Wikipedia has a page on it entitled Micky from 1926. Ub Iwerks said in an interview that can be found on a google search that he created Mickey Mouse. Then Aesop Film Fables has a character named Milton mouse a generic mouse who has a resemblence to Mickey Mouse.

[edit] Microvision
Thanks, I appreciate it. The only thing that I think could still be worked on is the question of how successful it actually was (mentioned on the talk page). Other than that it's looking pretty good. Take care. Propound 07:52, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sorry bout that
But since you like to make up crap about people who disagree with you, you don't exactly reserve the right to complain when people do it in return. I'm not sure, but being an ass is probably going against WP policy. - A Link to the Past (talk) 00:03, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- My suspicions regarding your motivation, suspicions which are founded by your own past statements and actions (which I already sourced from you) are as much a valid point in terms of a discussion that pertains to that topic as any. I don't "make up crap", I regard your past attempts at deletion of the LTTP/Four Swords article, as well as your subsequent statements, to be directly correlated to your present actions.
- Your implication at me somehow advocating genocide, on the other hand, has absolutely nothing to do with any topic that has been discussed and is merely aimed at being inflammatory and rude. You have no right to insert it into any discussion by any means or frame of reference. Quite frankly, the fact that you have to restort to this in order to attempt to demean me speaks volumes.
- If you want to address the suspicions regarding your previous attempts at deleting the LTTP/FS article and replacing it with a paragraph on the main LTTP section, then address them directly- either relenting that you were prior incorrect about said attempt and that you take it back, or reassert your intention that the article should be deleted. Otherwise, I have nothing more to say to you. Ex-Nintendo Employee 00:18, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- Do me a solid and tell me where I made the statement? Thanks. - A Link to the Past (talk) 00:53, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords
I want to draw your attention to several policies you've been violating here, particularly WP:3RR and WP:CIVIL. This inane edit war over a talk page has died down, but that kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. If this was still going on, you'd be blocked now. Do not undo the edits of others, don't make personal attacks, be civil, and WP:RPA does not give you license to completely remove the comments of others that you disagree with, just the parts of those comments that are personal attacks. Mangojuicetalk 04:49, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
-
- Replied on user's talk page with the following:
- As a reply to what was obviously a "cut and pasted" warning message aimed at myself and at ALLTP, I am rebuttaling the accusations you've placed against me.
- Never once to the best of my knowledge did I violate Wikipedia's policies. The main article itself was never reverted, and the only talk page reversions that I enacted were to erase a single comment where the statement was made that "there's as much truth in me wanting that to happen as is there truth in you wanting to kill all of the Jews". That comment is a baseless irrelevant personal attack which had no bearing on the discussion at hand, which is why I reverted it. You will notice that LEGITIMATE, non-inflammatory, non-personal attack comments that were made on the page were untouched by me. In fact, in the one instance where I accidentally removed a legitimate comment, I immediately re-inserted LTTP's statement.
- Continuing, the argument didn't "die down", I ended it- I admitted that I was at fault regarding the discussion; I had previously viewed a talk page conversation that stated LTTP was planning on moving the article "to the main LTTP page"; when I saw the text, it was on the ALTTP/FS Talk, but I had not seen that it had ORIGINALLY been placed on the Four Swords page, and when FS had been moved to ALTTP/FS, the talk moved along with it. In fact, the entire argument stemmed from that base misunderstanding regarding the editor's motivations, which is why I apologized promptly to user:A_Link_To_The_Past.
- Furthermore, your claim of violations regarding WP:CIVIL are unfounded, despite what at the end became a very terse difference of opinions. While yes, the Jewish thing went against the policy, the rest of the entire argument was still civil: it was a difference of opinions regarding the article itself and the any attacks centered directly on the validity of the arguments posed during that argument, not on the person himself doing the argument.
- Quite honestly, stepping in to wag a finger and yell at two editors for percieved violations days after the respective arguments have already been settled civilly strikes me as a phenominal waste of time. There are hundreds of legitimate violators that strike Wikipedia at any given moment, changing article text to phallic references and sneakily changing numbers around, thinking they'll never get caught. By focusing your attention on a dispute gone cold, you're spending less time on more legitimate tasks that could be accomplished. You know, Chrono Trigger and some of its associated pages have started filling up with a phenominal amount of unneeded referenced to ingame text, why don't you examine those? Ex-Nintendo Employee 06:49, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
- I tried to email you but you don't have an address. Email me if you want to discuss further. Mangojuicetalk 12:31, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pacifism
I'll take a look at it, and find a way to include the paragraph. I'll do this in about an hour or so. -- Jeff3000 00:15, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- I hope my edit is accetable to you. It doesn't include everything in your addition, but most, and includes some other things. (I used a book I found that discusses Christ as a pacifist/non-pacifist)-- Jeff3000 01:04, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Ex-Nintendo Employee. I've edited his edits, but at the same time, I did some more research, and most of the academic viewpoint is that Jesus, himself, was a pacifist; there are however, other viewpoints that he was not. I've tried to include both viewpoints, in line with the Undue weight policy from WP:NPOV. I've tried to not make any conclusions in the text, but make it give the different viewpoints. I hope this is ok with you. Regards, -- Jeff3000 15:24, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WaveBird
You've changed the WaveBird article to read, "It is unique in that it relies on RF wave technology technology first developed by Atari, rather than the previously more common method of infrared line-of-sight control". What you're saying is that the WaveBird relies on technology developed by Atari. That's simply not true. Yes, Atari had an RF joystick long before Nintendo did. However, Nintendo's isn't based on Atari's. They both have something in common in that they use radios for communication, as do cell phones, cordless phones, radio control cars, and the like. But, to say that Nintendo's is based on Atari's just because of the commonality and the fact that one came before the other, is like me saying the WaveBird is based on my garage door since they're both RF, and my garage door opener came first.
Additionally, your addition is worded in such a way that implies that RF wave technology was invented by Atari. Radio waves have been used for communication of people and things long before Atari. See Guglielmo Marconi.
If you want the article to point out that Atari had an RF joystick before Nintendo, then find a relevant, sourced way to add that information to the article. You might want to make sure the source indicates that there wasn't some other RF wireless video game controller before Atari's before using words like "first", though. If you have a reputable independent source that indicates that the WaveBird design is specifically using some circuitry or something from the Atari design, then by all means include that. Otherwise, please don't include misleading unsourced information in the article. --adavidw 09:35, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
- With all due respect, the question as to whether or not Nintendo's technology for RF game controlling speficially is derived identically from Atari's is irrelevant. The basis of the statement is that the wavebird operates on RF frequency technology, and that RF frequency technology was first pioneered for use in gaming by Atari. It's the same way with analog sticks- Nintendo's analog stick operates on a much different basis than, for example, the pioneering analog sticks created for use on the Vectrex, but the founding principle of analog movement based on potentiometers is still in place. The same goes for the wavebird- it relies on RF technology that, while less advanced, was pioneered by Atari. Ex-Nintendo Employee 07:34, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- It now states that the wavebird "uses RF waves that were first utilized in gaming by the Atari CX-02 joysticks." Something like that's perfect. Thanks. --adavidw 08:59, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Munchmunchmunch.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Munchmunchmunch.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Kirby WikiProject
I've formed a WikiProject dedicated to the improvement of Kirby articles. If you're interested in participating, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Kirby's Dream Land. Thank you. - A Link to the Past (talk) 00:31, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- I wish more Wikipedians acted like this when they don't get what they want. I'm sorry for not agreeing with how to keep your article, but funny enough, it's not ACTUALLY your article. So if you do not wish to participate, no skin off my back - it's not my intention to work in a WikiProject with someone who does not understand basic Wikipolicies (such as to remain civil). But I'll just pretend that I'm hurt that someone so easily upset over nothing doesn't want to play with me.
- Summary: Grow up and get over it. Focus on editing, not the editors. - A Link to the Past (talk) 03:31, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Also, until you had decided to go uncivil on me because I reverted your edits (*tear*), I would have been very willing to, you know, discuss it? The notion that you cannot be a pain to encounter on Wikipedia is a laugh, so don't accuse others of being as such. - A Link to the Past (talk) 03:34, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- And on a final note, I noticed your edit summaries - you claiming I am taking ownership of the article. So who is taking ownership - someone who's reverting, or someone who not only reverts but tells the other to knock it off (ie, to keep the text out). Your edits have been so much closer to "claiming ownership" than mine ever could be, and I'm insulted that you would tell me that by wanting this included and reverting to do so, I'm taking ownership of the article. But you want it out, and declare my edit to be nonsensical, and tell me to knock it off, and telling me that I'm taking ownership of the article by disagreeing with you. Explain to me why it's me that's doing this, and not you? - A Link to the Past (talk) 03:42, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

- Editor's note (shademask user page response)- Given ALLTP's extensive history of such incivility as shown as above, I'm not bothering to respond to his ridiculous, pointless comments. Any user who comes across this can easily note ALTTP's record of backbiting, spite, and general pointless ridiculous behavior. It's all right here in his block log, which shows a massive record of no less than 10 individual blocks for his disruptive behavior.
-
- The PARTICULAR dispute that he decided to rant about above was his ludicrous decision to try to insert a FACT TAG for Kirby's Dream Land not having the ability for Kirby to gain enemy abilities. "Grow up" my rear end- this user, as has been proven above, is absolutely worthless when it comes to the project. Every time he starts to extensively edit, he always seems to drag the articles into some stupid, pointless fight over absolutely nothing- check out the crap he pulled when trying to shove the Seiken Densetsu article into the more general "Mana Series" moniker, despite the fact that he was by and large completely and totally alone in his attempt. For weeks he bogged the article down with ridiculous, pointless circular arguments. It eventually took an administrator to step in and tell him to knock it off. A full record of his ridiculous behavior can be easily accessed |here. I don't really give one shred of rat tail what this user thinks, or what his opinion is regarding him or anything he does.
-
- I'm a good editor on Wikipedia. I've started numerous articles and, unlike ALTTP, I have never, ever been blocked, even once [8]. I try to be civil with any user, but this user's behavior goes absolutely beyond the pale. His edits are a prime example of absolutely everything that Wikipedia behavior ought not to be.
-
- "Not what I want" nothing- trying to shove an unwarranted fact tag into an article is both wasteful AND unwarranted. No articles try and fact-tag that Mario Bros for the arcade was the first game where Mario jumped- because it's a plainly obvious thing that, quite frankly, is beyond completely stupid to try and fact tag. Anywho, I've wasted far too much time on this and I won't be responding to this guy because he'll just spend a month pissing and moaning like he did in the Seiken Densetsu article and wasting my time. And my time is worth more than his by a wide margin. Ex-Nintendo Employee 06:35, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
I had done NOTHING to you in the past, especially not in this scenario where you exploded and became insulting. You had no right to become so rude. I have actually been trying to improve myself over the past couple of years, but you're as bad as I used to be. But forget it - I've decided that I'm not going to provide any fuel to your flaming. When I respond to people like you, THAT'S what causes me to get frustrated and insult people. I'm not going to let you bring me back to the way I used to be. - A Link to the Past (talk) 22:46, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] ALTTP
Wikipedia is a place where many different mentalities usually clash with each other. ALttP is not going to be the last one who will disagree with you, so you should use the time with him to learn about how to deal with those who disagree. I have learned that people react to different phrases in different ways, and while a phrase like And my time is worth more than his by a wide margin. alone may not be considered an attack, a succession of phrases can. The worth of an editor is measured not only by his contributions, but also by his relations with the community, especially with those that heavily disagree with him. I suggest taking a break if necessary.
Personally, I am one of those who try to follow the 1RR: if someone reverts my change, I discuss, don't revert again. It is a bother because you need to discuss many times, but usually delivers good results (not lest lessening the wikistress). Try to look for consensus when individual changes are rejected. I know you already know about this, but when discussing, we usually forget that simple rule. -- ReyBrujo 14:05, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
No offense to ALttP, but I think he is the one who is continuously at fault. He needs to be more careful about what he does. It's great that he's dedicated to Wikipedia and all, but he really seems to be going more radical than most editors should be. He needs to lower his temper a bit, and not do so many drastic edits on Wikipedia (like redirecting the Internet Channel to a compilation page).. Anyway, my 2 cents... Keep up the great work ENE! [edit] Apology
I apologize for acting on my temper. While I continue to find that you lost control of your temper and still feel what I wrote (that your statements were uncalled for), I should not have expressed them. - A Link to the Past (talk) 19:11, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Resident Evil 4
No problem! Apologies for not referencing initially, and for the rather pov piece ("vastly" inferior graphics), I was just rather annoyed at the shoddiness of the port. Fin©™ 11:08, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for translating my talk page deal into the article (being the important bit of the job, I intended to just leave it in the air and whine to myself that no one would do it ;) ) and good catch on the mistake in the manual (that was all you, right?) I assumed it was my mistake running with the "PS2 X" button, & shooting with Square. I'll second the directly aboves appology for my "but I'VE seen the game! I KNOW HOW IT LOOKS DAMMIT!!!... etc." It was for similar reasons WholeFnShow 04:10, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Kirby's Dream Land Re.
Possibly, but Andrevan said that it was possibly too small to get even an A rank. - A Link to the Past (talk) 16:36, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
