Evanov Radio Group

Evanov Radio Group is a Canadian radio broadcasting company.
The company was launched in 1984 when Bill Evanov, formerly a sales manager for CHIN, launched his own multicultural station, CIAO in Brampton.

The company has two fully-owned stations in the Greater Toronto Area, and is the majority investor in three more stations: one in the GTA, one in Ottawa and one in Halifax.
Evanov owns 100% of the following stations, each through a subsidiary holding:
- Brampton - CIAO (CKMW Radio subsidiary)
- Orangeville - CIDC, "Z103.5" (Dufferin Communications subsidiary)
Evanov owns 80% of the following stations, along with two private investors who each hold the other 10%:
Finally, Evanov owns 70% of one more station, along with a private numbered company which holds the other 30%:
In 2005, Evanov filed an application before the CRTC for CIRR, an low-power FM station in Toronto to serve the city's LGBT community. On April 5, 2006, the CRTC approved the application in Decision 2006-128. The station is expected to launch in 2007.
